Perfume is a genuine creation, the result of the work of a perfumer. Used since the dawn of time, perfume has passed through the centuries in a host of guises. To take but a few examples, balms in ancient civilizations, potions with divine virtues in the Middle Ages or using perfume for washing in the days of the Sun King.
Perfume is a subtle, harmonious blend, both natural and synthetic. The masculine or feminine fragrance is revealed in three stages: top, middle and base notes. The top note lets light scents come through, such as lemon or bergamot.
In the middle, more pronounced notes emerge, like flowers and fruit. Then come the more general spicy and woody base notes.
The raw materials used to create a perfume are imported from all over the world: Moroccan rose, Madagascan vanilla, or amber from New Caledonia...
Manufacture is mostly automated thanks to two Roxane A and Roxane K and C technology.
